The Next Generation Indie Book Awards has judged Fathers’ Day as one of the best indie books of 2018. The award comes from an international field of over 5000 entries. Indies include small presses, larger independent publishers, university presses, e-book publishers, and self-published authors.
Conducted annually, The Independent Publisher Book Awards honor the best independently published titles from around the world. In 2019, the “IPPYS” recognized Fathers’ Day as one of the year’s best regional literary fictions.
Writer’s Digest has honored Fathers’ Day saying, “This is a beautifully crafted story . . . turns of phrase that make reading every page a pleasure: ‘ . . . a deep air-conditioned breath . . . the shirt enjoyed himself . . . most boys couldn’t follow her for more than few precious seconds before breaking into a sweat and adjusting the change in their pockets.’ “
